Situated adjacent to the Quakers Hill Water Resource Recovery Facility, formerly known as the Wastewater Treatment Plant, this operational site plays a pivotal role in wastewater treatment. The Purified Recycled Water Discovery Centre opens its doors to the community in 2024. Be part of this transformative experience as we invite you to explore, learn, and engage in the vital processes that shape our environmental future.

Tour Information:

This guided tour spans approximately 2 hours. The visitors are divided in two groups. While one group visits the PRW, the second group can be shown the main treatment plant. Then the groups are rotated.. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Keep in mind that as an operational site, tours may be subject to postponement due to necessary maintenance.

What to wear & bring :

 You must wear sturdy, fully enclosed, flat soled shoes (no open toed shoes such as sandals, thongs, ballet flats, or heels). Long pants are preferred. Safety glasses and hearing protection will be provided for a section of the tour, if you have your own you may wish to bring them. Please bring a bottle of water with you. You can refill this on site.
