IICA SA are excited to visit Findon Technical College and talk from Luke Northcote.

3:00 pm:            Arrival – drinks and nibbles, student projects on display.

3:30 pm:            Talk by Findon Tech College on an overview of the Eng and Advance Manufacturing programme, pathways in and out for students, connections with industry, the overall government skills strategy and where the college fits in

3:50 pm:            Tour the school.

Until 5:30pm:   More opportunities to network, drinks, nibbles and look at the student projects.

Luke Northcote has been in education for 26 years and in that time has worked all over South Australia, from Whyalla to Berri and in many Adelaide schools. As a leader, Luke has worked extensively in Senior School and Careers Education, supporting students to identify their passions, find their opportunities and successfully transition from school to work, traineeships, apprenticeships, or further education. From 2007 – 2015 Luke was the Leader of the Trade Schools for the Future in the Riverland and then the Inner South of Adelaide, supporting students to find school based traineeships and apprenticeships and managing Vocational Education and Training options for the region. From 2019 to 2023 Luke was the Entrepreneurial Education Lead at Heathfield High School before moving to Findon as the lead for the Technical College.
